dates
dates
The first traits of desert dwellers are strength and some of their other qualities of agility, height and immunity to disease. How and why did they acquire these qualities?
Certainly, the main food they eat, namely dates, has the greatest merit for it, so science has the title of dates as a mineral-rich "mine", and this other than its other benefits which make it a “complete” food in every sense of the word, despite its cheap price and availability. The excavations that were carried out in the tombs of the pharaohs showed their great appreciation for it, until they inscribed it on the walls of their temples, and praised its benefits as sweet, dry, intoxicating and in the form of "ajwa". In much of Coptic literature, writings and notes indicate the extent to which dates had nutritional value for priests and monks, and this is possibly due to the fact that Mary's food was during her pregnancy with Jesus, that peace is upon him. The date palm has fallen wet on you, so eat and drink, and make eye contact. "
In the history of the Arabs, their life stories and their wars, the great role of dates as a staple of their food, in a way that explains to us how they were able to find the capacity to conquer countries and territories, and fight countries and armies, and there are only a few fruits in the stomach of the Arab fighter.
The story of Ibn al-Hamam al-Salami in the Battle of Badr gives us a picture of the ancient Arab warrior. The Quraish then outnumbered the Prophet's men, may the prayers and peace of God be upon him, three times or more. The Herald arose, organizing their ranks and exhorting them to fight, and said: And by whom my soul is in his hand, a man will not fight them today, and he will kill a patient, an impostor, an approach no trained unless he enters Heaven. Umair bin Al-Hamam had turned to chew some dates, as was the habit of the warriors of that day. When he heard the words of the Messenger, he threw down the dates and said: Well, what is it between me that I will enter Heaven unless these people kill me ... And he rushed with the rushers.
Dates, this excellent fruit of the desert, are very rich in the nutrients needed by a person, so one kilogram of it gives three thousand calories, which is equivalent to the thermal energy required for the average activity of man per day. In other words, a kilogram of dates gives the same calorific value as meat, and what a kilogram of dates gives is three times what a kilogram of fish gives.
Dates contain vitamin A, which is present in a high percentage equal to that of its largest source. In other words, its ratio is equivalent to fish oil and butter. Vitamin (A), as it is called, helps to increase the weight of children and therefore doctors call it the "growth factor" as it preserves moisture and lustre of the eyes and prevents properties and protrusion. of the eyeball, and it studies the inner choroid layer of the eye a natural action because it acts on the formation of retinal violet, thus neutralizing The night is blurry and makes the sight penetrating night as well as day, and the American pilots l 'used during WWII on their night raid to help them distinguish targets in the dark. Therefore, the richness of dates in vitamin (A) makes us confirm its usefulness in strengthening the optic nerves, and in the fight against night blur, and we know that the inhabitants of the desert are famous for seeing from afar.
Ear specialists today are prescribing vitamin (A) to strengthen the hearing nerves, and as a result, dates benefit seniors who have started to suffer from hearing loss, and Washi Shaw is more correct, weakening the nerves hearing.
Since vitamin A is called the growth vitamin, it helps the body of boys, girls and children to grow and integrate, so that the boy becomes fit and active. Likewise, he is not afraid of it for girls, because it does not inherit their obesity, nor does it harm their stature, because it is free from fatty and fatty substances.
There is an important psychological characteristic of dates, say those who pay attention to it, which is that it gives calmness and comfort to restless souls, and modern civilization has made each of us nervous and dead, almost arguing with the wind when it blows, and how a person does not become nervous while living in this era of crazy speed. And the age of the telephone, the radio, the television, the noise? Everything around us is exciting.
Modern medicine reduces nervous moods to the activity of the thyroid gland at the front of the neck and to the increase in secretion. It was sometimes known that some plants and fruits have a special "anti-thyroid" that limits their activity and restricts their excretion, we mention carrots, spinach, almonds, and apricots, and among the first of these plants are dates. Put them in the foods of nervous people, which helps to calm them, and relieve their sensitivity, relieve and irritation. in life. Modern medicine explains these foods because they contain vitamin (A), which plays an important anti-thyroid role, which made tracking scientists advocate treating people with sticks (i.e. by intensifying the sympathetic vagotonic) and treating their troubled nerves with vitamin (A)
Especially giving it from its natural sources such as dates, and they also prefer it to sedatives and neuropathic painkillers that first inherit addiction, discourage impulsivity and introduce lethargy and laziness to the abuser again.
Therefore, we recommend giving each child a nervous mood a few dates every morning to give him peace and calmness and reduce his behaviour and his disorder. Rather, I advise every listener who does not like eating the morning breakfast (Tarweeqah) to take a few dates with a cup of milk every morning, because he will receive his day with the necessary fuel for his thought and body, and the necessary treatment to calm his nerves that will be provided by the events of the day.
Dates contain vitamin (B1), vitamin (B2), and vitamin (BB). These vitamins strengthen the nerves, soften blood vessels, moisten the intestine and save them from inflammation and weakness. And everyone who has a simple knowledge of medicine knows that prescribing vitamin (B1) in nerve lesions: in lethargy, emaciation and paralysis. And in relaxing the heart, in stomach ulcers, and in the muscular and intellectual efforts, as it is recommended for convicts, athletes and thinkers. We also describe the vitamin B2 in liver lesions, larvae, and cracked lips, in cases of allergies (allergies and urticaria), in broken nails and dry skin. Dates contain these healing properties combined. And in this way, an important experiment was conducted: a group of mice was given food made up of sugars only (on the grounds that the sugars are the thermal fuel for everyone who lives, and because mice are suitable for experiments because they feed on everything that a person feeds, and because they reproduce quickly, they can make up for what they lose from their preparation) Quickly in the laboratory, and after a short period of feeding the mice with sugar, they showed symptoms of the disorders caused by deprivation, their activity decreased, their body emaciated, their hair lost, and they were lazy in seeking a livelihood, so their legs could not carry them for walking, so when the dates were added to their food, these symptoms disappeared and disappeared and returned Mice to grow and rejuvenate.
Dates are rich in phosphorous in a high percentage, as it is richer than apricots, pears (armout) and strawberries, and richer than grapes. In every hundred grams of dates, we find forty milligrams of phosphorus, while the amount of phosphorous in any fruit does not exceed twenty milligrams in the same amount, and if we know that phosphorus is It is included in the composition of the bones and teeth, and phosphorus is the preferred food for the nobles in the human body, which are the chambers of the brain and reproduction. We were able to realize the medicinal value of dates in compensating for what the heads of thought and pen lose, and what young people lose from reproductive wastes when they are driven after their pleasures and desires. And we could also know the extent of its impact on sexual power, to which Westerners attribute the reason for Arab sexual activity and their superiority over Westerners in this regard.
Moreover, a few grains of dates increase the effect of a full bottle of iron syrup or a blue (needle) calcium, because iron and calcium are naturally dissolved in dates that the body accepts and assimilates quickly, while iron and calcium drinks flush the stomach and overburden its mucous membrane. The body does not assimilate it and does not fully digest it. Our evidence for that is the staining of the color of the stools of those who take iron medicines with soda, and if the dates had no benefit other than their containing magnesium, it would suffice by that, a reason that places it at the forefront of useful foods and fruits. It has been observed that the inhabitants of the oases, most of whom are poor and miserable - do not know cancer at all, and that this disease has never known its way to them, and it is believed that the richness of dates with magnesium is the reason for the absence of cancer in these people.
Dates, as we mentioned, are rich in a number of sugars, such as glucose (dextrose), close (fruit sugar) and saccharose (cane sugar). And its percentage in it is about seventy per cent. Therefore dates are the first-class fuel, and the sugars in dates are quick to absorb, easy to act, and go straight into the blood, muscles to give them strength, and to the chambers to give them power and heat, as their absorption does not require complex digestive and biochemical processes, as is the case, for example, in fatty substances. And starchy foods (such as those found in bread and rice) that require digestive secretions and biological actions to turn into absorbable dextrin. It may prove that the worker's body cannot dispense with sugary substances as fuel and a source of muscle energy, but he may dispense with fatty substances, if the lack of ghee from food does not cause a significant disturbance in his body because the body facilitates the formation of these fatty substances from the water of coal itself, i.e. from the sugar.
The stomach can digest dates and absorb the sugars in them within an hour or some hour, so they travel in the blood at speed, carrying fuel to the brain and muscles, as ambulances go bypassing all other means of transportation.
While the civil sweets that we are adept at decorating with ghee and transportation, and in diversifying them, and the many pastries that are rich in vendors' stores and our kitchens, it takes several hours to digest, because the fatty substances present in eastern sweets impede digestion and delay it by nearly six hours, thus slowing absorption.
On this basis, doctors advise fasting people who feel dizzy, sluggish and blindfolded to eat a quantity of sugar, especially from the free natural sugars found in dates, as dizziness disappears and laziness disappears within about half an hour.
Many fasting people have committed themselves to the Sunnah of the Great Messenger, who used to limit his breakfast to a few dates and a dose of water, after which he would pray until the night was clouded and he finished the prayer, eating light food to satisfy his hunger and satisfy his body’s need for food, without feeling full or full.
Modern medicine has proven the authenticity of the Prophet’s greatest Sunnah in fasting and breakfast. The fasting person usually consumes most of his body fuel during the day, that is, the accumulated sugar in his body cells is depleted, and the drop in blood sugar below its usual level is what causes the fasting person to feel in terms of weakness, laziness and unsteadiness. Sight, inability to think or move.
Therefore, it was necessary for us to supply our bodies with an abundant amount of sugar at the time of breakfast, (not to supply them with large quantities of fatty and starchy substances). The indolent and lazy fasting person at the end of the day of his fasting will quickly return to his strength and activity in his body in less than an hour if he confines his breakfast to Materials
Sugary foods with a few dates with a glass of water or a glass of milk, and after an hour the fasting person consumes his usual dinner. This style of breakfast has three benefits:
The first: The stomach is not exhausted with what is presented to it of rich and abundant food after it has been sleeping for about eighteen hours. Rather, it begins its work gradually in digesting dates that are easy to absorb, then after half an hour it is served the usual breakfast.
Secondly, eating dates first reduces the greed of the fasting person, so that he does not come to the table at night, which is on it in a hurry without chewing or tasting.
And the third: The stomach can digest the sugary substances in dates within half an hour, so the blood is fed by the sugary fuel that circulates around the body and emits activity in its cells, so the feeling of dizziness and fatigue disappears quickly.
But if the hungry fasting person comes to the table - as is common - he devours the exhalation (from broth and ghee) and follows it with various sweets and fruits, then he lifts it with a cup or three of water, expands the gastric juice and deactivates it, then poor digestion and intestinal rot will inevitably be their share and will be accompanied by a feeling of fatigue and a feeling of dizziness And fatigue, in addition to a new painful feeling, which is the sense of stomach fullness and abdominal bloating, and the blood will remain poor to what the fasting person needs from sugar fuel because the stomach will not finish digesting the fatty breakfast meal before the passage of seven hours or more, and the body cells will continue to moan and scream for the food that has not been He reaches her despite reaching the stomach, and her screaming usually translates as slackness, dizziness, blurred vision, and the inability of the owner to do his physical and intellectual actions.
If Muslims followed the Sunnah of the Great Prophet during their fasting and opened their breakfast with a few dates and one cup of water, lemonade or orange juice, they would reap the health benefits of fasting and then achieve what came in the noble hadith: fast and wake up.
And let us always remember that what counts in nutrition is not the abundant amounts of food entering our mouths, but of all kinds. That is, the lesson is not in quantity, but in quality. So, a small meal containing sugars, minerals and vitamins such as dates with a little bread, milk or meat returned to the fasting person with health, and provided him with more strength than a meal crowded with varieties of fatty or future foods, indigestion, and worsening the stomach and liver poisoning the body. And it came in the noble hadith: "A person does not fill a vessel of evil from his belly."
The benefit of the sugars in dates is not limited to providing heat, power and activity, but rather as a diuretic that cleans the kidneys and cleans the liver. Surgeons usually resort to the glaucoma of the subjects (for whom the operations are performed) with serum, that is, serums that contain sugar with a little salt, in order to feed the subject or to wash his kidneys, and sugar remains the only treatment in the treatment of blood poisoning with an eye.
(Aura Mia) Therefore, the one who depends on eating dates is a guarantor of his blood and nervous system more than carnivores who are fond of eating meat.
And in the ancient medical dictionaries, dates were mentioned as one of the four pectoral fruits that their infusion gives to those who complain of coughing, phlegm and bronchitis.
They are grapes (currants), figs, dates, and jujube. Fifty grams are taken from each (provided that they are dried of course). A litre of water is added to it and boiled slightly over the fire. The soaked in it is drunk as an expectorant and soothing to the respiratory system.
Finally, dates contain cellulose fibres, which give them their special shape. These fibres help the intestines with their circular movements, thus making dates an excellent natural laxative. Those who are accustomed to eating them daily can survive cases of chronic arrest. The people of the United States spend more than ten million dollars a year for the laxative pills alone, and American doctors have recently taken
They sound the alarm, alerting people to the harm of these pills, which are irritating to the mucous membrane lining the intestine, shattering the protective wall between the blood and heavy materials (faeces). These scratchy pills cause artificial abnormal intestinal movements whereby the intestine expels its nutritional content before absorbing the contents of the blood, carrying strength and movement. Food (with the effect of laxatives) goes through transit, exhausting the digestive system, corrupting health by depriving it of the necessary substances. The harm of laxatives is not limited to this only but is manifested in the large intestine, where it remains in contact with the wall of this intestine for a longer period, causing colitis, and the water in the food deposits does not have sufficient time for absorption, which leads to flatulence, cramps and gurgling. Between the digestive system and the nervous system, any irritation would lead to a feeling of physical and mental fatigue and the patient feeling degraded. So what does he do? He increases the amount of laxative love, thinking that the amount was not enough, and by doing this he ruins his gut. Getting used to the earliest laxatives weakens the mucous membrane, which is blocked by blood, food residues and toxic waste. Consequently, it thickens and condenses, and then this dam cracks, allowing the internal toxins to pass through, and the owner of it becomes melancholy, nervous, aroused for the trivial reasons, and bored from every place and every action. If he used to eat dates daily, he would get rid of this psycho-physical disorder, because cellulosic fibres help the intestine in its naturally rotational movements, so a person defecates daily naturally without effort or medication.
After adding walnuts and almonds to dates or eating them with milk increases its strength and is rich in protein and fat. We mentioned that the food of the Bedouins was composed of dates and milk, so they were proverbs in strength, health and agility, and they were not known to have chronic malignant diseases.
Scientists believe that the reason for this is due to the presence of alkaline mineral salts in dates, these salts that modify the acidosis of the blood resulting from eating carbohydrates (bread and rice) in abundance, and it is known that acidity of the blood is the cause of quite a few hereditary family diseases such as kidney stones, gallbladder, and gout. , High pressure, haemorrhoids and others.
One of the things worth appreciating about this winter fruit is that it can be stored in cans or wrapped in paper and compressed so that it retains all its properties and qualities for a long time.
Thus, we see that nature has equipped our dear eastern countries with great natural treasures, food such as dates and industrial, such as petroleum. If the Arabs had made good use of these treasures, they would have lived rich and carefree, and with the clothes of happiness and prosperity blessed.
