Pears, or "pears," are a sister to apples and are close to them in terms of benefits and properties. This fruit has been known since the days of the Romans, and the historian "Blaine" said that it has thirty-eight varieties. This number has increased greatly, thanks to the broadening horizons of agriculture and the possibility of developing new varieties of fruits. For some reason, we find that the production of pears is less than the production of apples, and therefore it maintains a slightly higher price than the price of apples. Pears contain mineral and food substances according to the following proportions: 73,2% water, 5% protein, 4% fatty substances, 15,5% sugar, 1.5% fiber.
It also contains trace amounts of vitamins (A), (B) and (C), but it is distinguished from apples by the increase in the proportion of protein substances in them. Pears are described as food for children, convicts, poor nutrition, and people with anaemia, and it is also useful in cases of diarrhoea and intestinal laziness, and it has the property of stimulating digestive juices, stimulating and cleansing the intestine. And pear juice is prescribed for babies. As for one month of their age, they can be given a small amount of peeled ripe pears.
